What is portable mini-golf and how does it work for events?
Portable mini-golf is a fully assembled mini-golf course Gimme Greens Mini Golf delivers and sets up at your event in the Capital Region. We bring 9 holes (or 18 in our coming package), LED lighting, putters, balls, scorecards, and an on-site attendant to run the course. You and your guests just play.
What types of events is portable mini-golf good for?
Gimme Greens Mini Golf's portable course is great for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, school carnivals, fundraisers, graduation parties, family reunions, holiday parties, grand openings, and community events throughout Albany, Saratoga, Troy, Schenectady, and the wider Capital Region.
How much space do you need for setup?
Our 9-hole portable course needs roughly 625 square feet of relatively flat space. We can set up in ballrooms, backyards, parking lots, gymnasiums, parks, and event tents. Send a photo of your space and we'll confirm the layout works.
Can the course be set up indoors?
Yes — Gimme Greens Mini Golf's portable course is designed for both indoor and outdoor use. The course leaves no marks on flooring, and we bring our own LED lighting so it looks great in ballrooms, function halls, hotel atriums, breweries, and warehouses across the Capital Region.
How many people can play at one time?
A 9-hole portable course comfortably handles about 40 players per hour with up to 4 players per hole. The 18-hole package handles roughly 80 players per hour. For 50+ guest events, we recommend adding a second attendant ($50/hour).
How long does setup and breakdown take?
Gimme Greens Mini Golf's crew arrives 60–90 minutes before your event start time to set up the full 9-hole course and LED lighting. Breakdown takes about 30–45 minutes after the event. Setup and breakdown are always included in the rental price.
What is included in the rental?
Every Gimme Greens Mini Golf rental in the Capital Region includes a complete portable course, LED lighting, adult and kid putters, golf balls in 20 colors, scorecards, pencils, course obstacles, an on-site attendant for the duration of your event, plus full setup and breakdown.
How much does it cost to rent the course?
Gimme Greens Mini Golf's 9-hole package is $549 for the first 2 hours, then $149 per additional hour. The 18-hole package (coming soon) is $929 for 2 hours, also $149 per additional hour. Pricing includes setup, lighting, all equipment, and the on-site attendant.
Is there a deposit required to reserve a date?
Yes — a 50% deposit reserves your event date with Gimme Greens Mini Golf. The deposit is fully refundable if you cancel one month or more before the event. We also include 5% damage coverage by default (removable on request).
Can we rent the course for more than one day?
Absolutely — Gimme Greens Mini Golf offers extra rental days at 25% off the standard rate. Perfect for multi-day festivals, weekend retreats, and extended corporate events across the Capital Region.
Do you have insurance?
Yes — Gimme Greens Mini Golf carries event liability insurance and can provide a Certificate of Insurance to your venue on request. Many ballrooms and corporate venues require a COI before allowing outside vendors; we can usually provide one within one business day.
Do you serve cities outside the Capital Region of New York?
Yes — Gimme Greens Mini Golf serves a 50-mile radius from Clifton Park, NY. That includes Albany, Saratoga Springs, Troy, Schenectady and surrounding NY towns, plus the Berkshires (Lenox, Lee, North Adams, Adams, Pittsfield) and southern Vermont (Bennington).
Can the course be customized for our event?
We can adjust the layout to fit your venue and add themed signage where it makes sense. Reach out and we'll talk through what's possible for your specific event in the Capital Region.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 4–8 weeks ahead for weekend events in the Capital Region — peak summer dates fill fastest. Last-minute bookings are accepted whenever the calendar allows.
Is the course safe for kids?
Yes — Gimme Greens Mini Golf's portable course is designed for all ages. Kid-sized putters and lightweight balls make it easy and fun for younger players, and our on-site attendant keeps the course running smoothly so families can relax and play.
Do you provide attendants to run the course?
Yes — every Gimme Greens Mini Golf rental includes a friendly on-site attendant for the full duration of your event. The attendant hands out clubs, organizes groups, keeps the line moving, and makes sure everyone has a great time.

Can you accommodate large events with hundreds of guests?
Yes — for events with 100 or more guests, we recommend the 18-hole package (coming soon) plus an additional attendant ($50/hour) so wait times stay short. Tell us your guest count and we'll recommend the best setup.
